There’s something about a good margarita that feels like an instant vacation. This is the recipe Michael uses again and again and it hits all the right notes: fresh lime and a little touch of sweetness.
For date night on the patio or taco Tuesday, this is our go-to margarita. Maybe it will become yours too!
Ingredients
- 2oz blanco tequila (we like Don Julio)
- Triple Sec
- 1/2oz agave syrup
- Juice of one and a half limes
- Ice
- Pink Himalayan salt or Tajin for the rim
- Optional: Cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Cut a lime and run it along the rim of glass
- Rim the glass with salt or Tajin (or do one side with Himalayan salt and one with Tajin)
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
- Add tequila, Triple Sec, agave, and fresh lime juice
- Shake well and pour into your prepared glass
- Garnish with fresh cilantro if you like a little extra smell and taste
- Sip and enjoy – preferably on a porch or patio at golden hour
